久保田利伸について

1986年「失意のダウンタウン」でデビュー。日本人離れしたファンキーなリズム感で本場のR&B、ブラック・ミュージックを一般リスナー層にまで浸透させた。 1986年「タイム・シャワーに射たれて」「流星のサドル」1987年「クライ・オン・ユア・スマイル」など、軒並みヒット・チャートに送り込んだ。1993年、アメリカへ渡り、1995年には米＜Columbia＞レコードよりTOSHI KUBOTAで、全編英詞によるアルバム『サンシャイン、ムーンライト』をリリース。1996ナオミ・キャンベルとのデュエットが話題を呼んだ「ラ・ラ・ラ・ラブ・ソング」1998年「AHHHHH!」2000年「ポリリズム」は、TV番組とのタイアップもあり、大ヒットを記録した。
